Who we are

Twigmate.app is a friendly gardening assistant and community. When we say “we”, “us” or “Twigmate”, we mean the team operating Twigmate.app.

What we collect

  • Information you provide: your name, email, password or sign‑in details, profile info, posts/comments, garden details (e.g. plants, location at a general level), photos, and messages you send us.
  • Automatic data: device and usage information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, links clicked, app interactions, and approximate location (from IP). We use cookies and similar technologies to run the site and understand usage.
  • From third parties: if you sign in with a third‑party service (like an identity provider), we receive basic account info (e.g. name and email).

How we use your information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve Twigmate.
  • Personalise tips, reminders, and content to your gardening context.
  • Communicate with you about updates, features, and service notices.
  • Send optional marketing emails (you can opt out at any time).
  • Keep Twigmate safe: prevent spam, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Comply with legal obligations.
  • Contract: to provide you the service you request.
  • Legitimate interests: to run, protect, and improve Twigmate in ways that do not override your rights.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to make Twigmate work, and may use analytics to understand what’s popular so we can improve the experience. Where required, we’ll ask for your consent. You can control cookies in your browser and via our cookie banner (when shown).

Sharing your information

  • Service providers: trusted vendors that help us host, deliver emails, provide analytics, and support the app. They only use your data to provide their services to us.
  • With your direction: for example, when you post in the community or share a garden plan.

Twigmate is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it. In some regions (such as the EEA/UK), we may require a higher age or parental consent.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No method is 100% secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

Do we sell your data?

No. We do not sell your personal information.
